It's great to see Leelee discovering all the sweet little things about motherhood / parenthood that make it so special.
You may find it hard to believe, and I found it hard to believe myself, but when I first gave my infant son a bit of gripe water for his colic, when I smelled it and tasted it myself, I could remember back to when my mother must have given me some of it. It was the smell /taste of it that sent me waaay back. They say smell is the sense most strongly associated with memory and I believe it.
While we are on the topic of motherhood, let me just add how proud I am to be Canadian these days, in light of the inspiring story of our own Joannie Rochette, bronze figure skater Vancouver Olympics 2010. She joins our Leelee in showing how well-raised some of our young women are in the world of celebrities. And how important one's mother can be in reaching for the best we can do in the world.
